La Maison

A little house from Nice, by the sea in Marbella.

Riviera cooking, a white dining room, a terrace over the bay and a bar that stays up late — this is the house, chapter by chapter.

01 — L’histoire

The original, from Nice.

La Petite Maison began in Nice more than three decades ago, when Nicole Rubi opened a restaurant devoted to the generous, sunlit cooking of the Côte d’Azur. Today she runs it with her daughter, Anne-Laure.

Marbella is the result of a collaboration established in 2023 between the Rubi family, DB Group — the hospitality house founded by David Barokas, behind La Guérite, Palm Beach Cannes, Medusa and Shellona — and Puente Romano Marbella. After Nice and Palm Beach Cannes, the house now has a home on the Costa del Sol.

02 — La cuisine

Simple things, cooked exactly.

Chef Yiannis Kioroglou leads the kitchen in Marbella. The repertoire is the house’s own: Niçoise hors d’œuvres meant to be shared, fish baked whole in salt or in papillote, meats from the grill, and truffle when the season allows.

La Carte
03 — La salle

White walls, red banquettes, art everywhere.

Panelled rooms washed in Mediterranean light, glass doors folded back to the terrace, and a collection of bold contemporary art on every wall and stairway.

Tables dressed in white beneath a coffered ceiling, glass walls open to palms and the sea
A guest on the stairs beside framed artworks, holding a spritz
A woman in a navy dress hurrying up the stairs past a colourful painting
A guest glancing back over her shoulder in a softly lit gallery corridor

Terrace tables laid for lunch with the beach, jetty and sea beyond
04 — La terrasse

Front row on the Mediterranean.

Under scalloped parasols, the terrace looks straight out over the beach to the sea. Lunch lingers, olive oil and lemons on every table, and the light turns gold long before anyone thinks of leaving.

05 — Le bar

A signature bar with a view.

Nine signature cocktails with a Riviera accent — from the Paparazzi to the BB à Saint Tropez — alongside the classics, a serious list of spirits, champagne by the glass and the bottle, and fresh juices until four.

Pretty parasols, loungers and day beds facing the Mediterranean, with a dedicated pool menu of crudos, salads, Niçoise snacks and a children’s menu — and, written across the bottom of the pool, the house motto.

Please noteThe La Petite Maison pool is open to Puente Romano hotel guests, by prior reservation only.
